Isolar was created by David Lloyd as a personal memento from the Bowie shows at Wembley Empire Pool in 1976. The artwork is printed on archival fine art paper using high quality sustainable inks that produce incredibly rich colours and detail with a light fastness guarantee in excess of 60 years indoor display life.

These unique, highly collectable hand finished giclée prints are not available in stores (other than selected items in the Baltic Centre For Contemporary Art and the Flood Gallery in London). The prints are rolled by hand in protective tissue paper and packaged in sturdy cardboard tubes (A2 & A3 sizes) or corrugated card envelopes (A4) .

Originally from the North East of England, David Lloyd is an alumni of Central Saint Martins and the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London. He has exhibited at the Royal Academy and spent most of his life working as an artist, musician and composer on both sides of the Atlantic.

"The last time I saw Bowie live was on the 2nd December, 1999 at the Astoria on Charing Cross Road in London with two thousand other extremely lucky souls.  I'd seen Bowie in the two decades prior to this one but the Astoria show was, for me, the best of them all.  He was so laid back and full of fun, it felt like you were all at a wedding where Bowie just happened to be the live act who knew all the guests (playing up to the audience and making jokes "Oh you've changed your hair? Is that a new jacket?").

We were about three people deep from the front and at times it felt like we were at a football match (Drive In Saturday) with everyone singing along, arms raised with the band.  "Look at 'em all up there with their champagne" gestured Bowie to the likes of Jagger and Boy George upstairs. "Ah but we don't care" looking down at us with a wink and a smile "We got the drugs down 'ere!!!"  Just before they left the stage, Bowie couldn't help leaving us with a nod to his infamous Hammersmith Odeon Ziggy exit... "This...is the last show... we'll ever play... in the 20th Century!"  Cue laughter.
