Lou Reed's second solo album, Transformer featured Lou with his now iconic tobacco sunburst Epiphone Riviera on the cover. The shot was taken by legendary rock photographer Mick Rock during a live performance at London’s King’s Cross Cinema on July 14, 1972. The album, produced by David Bowie and Mick Ronson was a meeting of the great creative minds and became a classic album with songs like 'Walk On the Wild Side,' 'Perfect Day' and 'Satellite Of Love' appearing on it. It would prove to be the commercial pinnacle in Lou's long and incredibly influential career.
